Fun Fall Events in Kansas City


It's that time of year when the temperatures begins dropping, scarves make their way back into our wardrobe and some fun fall festivals are on their way! Don't find yourself twiddling your thumbs at home every night thinking of things to do! There are a number of fun events being hosted in KC this fall that you can be a part of! 

SEP. 4-SEP. 6: Johnson County Old Settlers Festival

Johnson County Old Settlers Festival is back in its 116th year! The festival takes place in downtown Olathe with nationally recognized musical entertainment, carnival rides, Kansas' largest parade, antique auto show, arts & crafts, food from local non-profit organizations and much more!

SEP. 4: The KC Improv Festival Kickoff

Opening night at the Kick Comedy Theater in Westport starts on Thursday, September 4th. Multiple performing troupes comprise this festival, making it one of the longest comedy festivals in the US! It is located at the Off Center Theater in Crown Center and Kick Comedy Theater in Westport. Come out and join the fun!

SEP 6-SEP 7: Kansas City Chalk & Walk Festival

Kansas City artists are given chalk and empty squares of asphalt and by the weekend, masterpieces are born! Walk this boardwalk of art near Crown Center Saturday, 11 AM to 7 PM and Sunday 11 AM to 5 PM.

AUG 29-SEP 1: Santa Cali-Gon Days

Located in Independence Square, the Santa Cali-Gon days features over 400 crafters/venders and over 100 food booths and free locally and nationally known country western music performances. The festival houses a midway carnival and old fashioned contests! (Not to mention, admission is free!)
