Books to read for your 2010 Summer!

If you're trying to beat the heat this summer and stay inside with a good book to read, I decided to generate a list of popular books for this 2010 summer!

According to Dan Poynter’s (all figures are from the United States):
  • One-third of high school graduates never read another book for the rest of their lives.
  • 58% of the US adult population never reads another book after high school.
  • 42% of college graduates never read another book.
  • 80% of US families did not buy or read a book last year.
  • 70% of US adults have not been in a bookstore in the last five years.

American Heart Association: KC Festival of Wine and Food

American Heart Association

August 12, 2010 calls for an event where leaders of the medical and corporate communities and Dick Vermeil ( of Vermeil Wines and former Head Coach of the Kansas City Chiefs) will join together to experience a five-course wine dinner at J. Gilbert’s Wood-Fired Steaks & Seafood!

On August 14, 2010, guests will get to sample from over 300 types of wines and enjoy food from Kansas City’s top restaurants

This festival is a two day event which is divided into 1)Wine Maker Dinner and 2)Grand Tasting Event .
